Margaret Joan Janatsch

Margaret (Margie) Janatsch entered into eternal rest on Oct. 1 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Wallkill, N.Y. with her loving family at her side. She was 87.
The daughter of the late John and Margaret (Doyle) McMahon, she was born on March 21, 1929 in New York City.
A former Cornwall resident, Margie was a retired Clerk for MTA Metro-North Railroad (Conrail, NY Central and REA Express) in New York City.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Edward Janatsch. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret (Peggy) Kuhn and her husband Eddie of New Windsor, and Cathy Ann Principato and her husband Dave of New Windsor; her son, Thomas Janatsch and his wife Rosalia of Peabody, Mass. She was a devoted grandmother to Matthew Weinstein and his wife Christine of Cape Coral, Fla., Casey Kuhn of New Windsor, Jillian Principato and her fiancé’ Mario Bertorelli of Cornwall, Kristin Principato of New Windsor, Thomas Janatsch, Jr. and Christine Janatsch of Peabody, Adilson Rosa and his wife Tania Alves of Peabody, Reginaldo Pires and his wife Ladyane of Peabody; and “Old Grandma” to great grandchildren Katie and Timmy Weinstein of Cape Coral, Fla. and Alexandre and Isabella Rosa and Andrew Pires of Peabody.
She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews and friends who will miss her greatly. She was predeceased by a great grandson Michael Weinstein; her brothers, John, Charles and Martin; and sisters, Nora, Alice and Joan.
We will celebrate her life and our cherished memories at a memorial service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-on-Hudson. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7 at the funeral home. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, N.Y.
