St. Luke’s “pauses” emergency department closure application

St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital is listening to its local leaders and has agreed to pause its application for closure of the Cornwall Emergency Department. According to a press release issued this afternoon, the hospital “will continue to operate the emergency department and associated services until questions about the Cornwall Campus Emergency Department transition and access to care are addressed with local leaders and elected officials, including Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney, Senator Bill Larkin and Assemblyman James Skoufis.”
