Anna Cercone

February 1, 1921-August 17, 2016

Anna Cercone, of Cornwall, entered into eternal rest on Aug. 17 at Elant at Meadow Hill in Newburgh.  She was 95 years old.

The daughter of the late Rocco Miano and Rose Scarola Miano, Anna was born on Feb. 1, 1921 in Grumo, Appula, Italy.  She was the widow of Mario Cercone.

Anna is survived by her son, William Cercone (Karen) of Webster, N.Y.; her daughters, Anna (Alexander) Vanacore of Cornwall, Rose Cercone-Santana (Carmen Alessi) of Miami Beach, Fla., and Elizabeth Cercone of Middletown, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Mark, Sean, Leah, Kyle and Shay; seven great-grandchildren, Sienna, Ava, Royce, Aria, Zander, Snow and Jazz.

Her family received visitors on Aug. 21  at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Aug. 22  at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson.  Entombment followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Middle Hope, N.Y.
