Kamryn Elizabeth Bartolone
March 8, 1998-August 6, 2016
Kamryn Elizabeth Bartolone received her angel wings on Saturday Aug. 6 at the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center. She was 18 years old.
The daughter of Deborah Sager and Michael Bartolone of Cornwall, Kamryn was born on March 8, 1998 with a rare genetic disorder. Although she was not able to verbalize, she spoke volumes through her expressions. Kamryn was a true warrior, regardless of her limitations. Her spirit was stronger than her body and she inspired all who came in contact with her.
Kamryn attended school at The Center for Discovery in Harris, N.Y., where she was given the opportunity to flourish amongst her peers. She always enjoyed her daily bus rides to the school and her bus driver – Jack, who always made Kamryn’s comfort a priority for the trip. She was the talk of the school – her clothes, her nails, her shoes; she was a true ‘Fashionista’.
Kamryn was most happy watching her favorite show – “Blue’s Clues.” Where there was Kamryn, there was “Blue’s Clues.”
Kamryn leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her loving parents Michael and Deborah; brothers Michael and Matthew Bartolone of Cornwall-on-Hudson; step-father Christopher Sager; step-sisters Jenna and Grace Sager of Charlotte, N.C.; grandparents Frank and Edith Bartolone of Cornwall-on-Hudson; Carol Clifford of New Windsor, NY and Thomas Clifford of Keene, N.H., as well as a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, classmates and close friends who all adored her. Kamryn also leaves behind her dedicated staff of nurses, who quickly became family — especially Leslie, Valerie and Angeline.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kamryn’s memory to The Center for Discovery, 31 Kinnebrook Road, Harris, NY 12642 and/or The Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, 100 Woods Road, Valhala, NY 10595
