Lois DeBerto
November 30, 1931-May 22, 2016
Lois DeBerto, of Cornwall, a retired secretary for the Newburgh Enlarged School District, entered into rest on May 22 at home, surrounded by her family. She was 84.
The daughter of the late Roy and Anna Mae (Pinckney) Henderson, Lois was born Nov. 30, 1931 in Poughkeepsie.
She was member of Grace United Methodist Church in Newburgh.
Survivors include her husband, Vincent A. DeBerto at home, son, Vincent B. DeBerto of New Windsor, brother, Leonard Henderson of North Carolina, three grandsons; Kyle Ferraiolo, TJ Ferraiolo and Blake DeBerto, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lois was predeceased by her daughter, Daryl Ferraiolo, in 2013, brother, Robert Henderson and sister, Marjorie Kastuck.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Cemetery. All services are private.

Ruth L. Dimaio
December 13, 1929-May 22, 2016
Ruth L. Dimaio, of Cornwall entered into eternal rest on May 22 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. She was 86 years old.
The daughter of the late Herbert E. Willey and Vivian V. Morse Willey, Ruth was born on Dec. 13, 1929 in Boston. Ruth was a retired School Bus Driver.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband, Frank Dimaio at home; her son, Bruce A. Mazzone and his wife Lasca of Unadilla, N.Y.; her daughter, Lorraine Erdman and her husband, Thomas of Manorville, N.Y.; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and her sister, Vivian Ray of Unadilla, N.Y.
The family received visitors on May 25 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home on Cornwall-on-Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, May 26 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson. Interment followed the Mass at Pine Lawn Cemetery in Pine Lawn, NY.

William Arch Lee
February 27, 1942-May 21, 2016
William Arch Lee, of Cornwall died unexpectedly on May 21 in Harris, N.Y. He was 74.
The son of William Lee and Marion E. Dunlap Lee, Bill was born on Feb. 27, 1942 in Cornwall.
He was a retired Fire Investigator for West Point and an active code enforcer for the Town of Cornwall, and previously Cornwall-on-Hudson. He sat on the Town Zoning Board.
Bill was the past chief of the Cornwall Fire Dept., commissioner of Canterbury Fire Dept., Director of Region 10 Association of Fire Districts of New York, retired active member of International Association of Firefighters Local F-7, served as Orange County Fire Inspector #36-104, and served on the Orange County Arson Task Force. Bill belonged to NY State Association of Fire Chiefs, Elks-Newburgh #247, Fire Chiefs of Orange County, International Association of Fire Investigators, Hudson Valley Volunteer Fireman’s Association, New York State Building Officials, Orange County Association of Fire Districts, and Black Rock Fish & Game Club.
Bill is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 53 years, Cheryl Melito Lee, at home; his daughter, Donna D’Amico Zodikoff and her husband Neil of Middletown; his son, William (Mickey) Lee and his wife, Kim, of Highland Falls; his grandchildren, William and his wife Rachel, and Justin; his great granddaughter, whom he loved to the moon and back, Evelyn; his brother, Robert and his wife Jeniene; plus several nieces, nephews and their children and cousins. Bill was pre-deceased by his son-in-law, Stephen D’Amico and his aunt Anna MacMorran.
Visitation was from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson. A funeral service and firematic service was held at 8:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

MaryAnn Neylon
January 28, 1945-May 22, 2016
MaryAnn Neylon, of Cornwall passed away with her family by her side on May 22, at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh She was 71 years of age.
The daughter of the late George Neylon and Rose (Bridget) Callaghan Neylon, she was born on Jan. 28, 1945.
MaryAnn had a loving heart and a tremendous personality. She lived in a Group Home in Highland Mills that was filled with love for 30 years, with friends and staff who became like family. MaryAnn will be missed by many but loved by all.
MaryAnn is survived by her loving sister, Rita Scully, of Newburgh, and many nieces and nephews. MaryAnn was predeceased by her sister, Maureen Mailler.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, May 27 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. in Cornwall-on-Hudson. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Robert Fullerton Roe
September 5, 1931-May 17, 2016
The calm reprieve of death was granted to Robert Fullerton Roe on May 17.
Born in Newburgh on Sept. 5, 1931, he was the husband of E. Grace Roe, deceased, and the father of Edward Charles Roe and James Peter Roe and his wife Sabrina Anne Roe, grandfather of Jeanine Dea Roe, James Joseph Roe and Jonathan Robert Roe. His companion, Ms. Doris Bleicher survives him as well, in addition to several nieces and nephews.
Rob graduated from Newburgh Free Academy, Class of 1949. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the United States and Europe as well. He graduated from Orange County Community College, AAS; New York Institute of Technology, BS Community Mental Health Psychology; Long Island University, MS Ed. Community Health Counseling; Marist College, MS Public Administration, Public Sector Labor Studies Certificate, Cornell University; Post Graduate courses at SUNY Albany.
Rob was an ordained elder, Bethlehem Presbyterian Church; a life member of the Free and Accepted Masons – Corner Stone Lodge, Monroe; a past president of the Men’s Club, Bethlehem Presbyterian Church; a member of the Boy Scouts of America; committee chair and unit representative Troop 118 BSA, Cornwall.
Rob and his wife owned and operated Grace’s Lunch in Newburgh for several years. He worked for the Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities from 1984 until his retirement in April, 2004. His responsibilities were varied and he provided consistent support to the people he serviced.
Memorial contributions would be deeply appreciated and may be sent to the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 1520 Route 94, New Windsor, NY 12553 or the Boy Scouts of America. There will be no visitation. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY. A funeral service was held on May 23 at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. Interment followed the service at the church cemetery.
