School budget passes; board changes guard

Residents in the Cornwall Central School District have spoken. The votes have been tallied and the $67,770,787 budget was approved by a vote of 1,188 to 474. The school board will see two new faces come July. Seven candidates sought three open seats on the board. Newcomer Nancy Bryan led the way with 904 votes  followed by incumbent David Moretto who secured 710 votes. Newcomer Peter Erwin will also join the board after receiving 708 votes. The rest of the voting was as follows:  Diana McNally (679), Tirek Gayle (476), Brian Billard (402), and Jeff Hookey (319).
