John Gibbons, press secretary for the Smithsonian Institute and a 1988 Cornwall graduate, was the guest speaker at the Cornwall Historical Society’s meeting last night. The audience included some of his former school mates and neighbors.
He told them that the Smithsonian has 19 museums, nine research centers, and 20 libraries and archives. The Smithsonian collection includes 138 million objects.
