Olivia L. Ferrara

Olivia L. Ferrara, of Cornwall-on-Hudson entered into eternal rest on March 6 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 72 years old.
The daughter of the late James and Lorraine Granto Chappa, she was born on Dec. 9, 1943 in Passaic, N.J. She was a music Teacher at St. Thomas of Canterbury Catholic School.
Olivia is survived by her loving husband, Frank A. Ferrara at home; her son, James F. Ferrara of Cornwall-on-Hudson; her daughter, Dyanne M. Martinez of Poughkeepsie; and two grandchildren Xander and Paxon Ferrara.
Her family received visitors on March 9 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial was due to be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 10 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street in Cornwall-on-Hudson. Interment was scheduled to follow the Mass at St. Thomas Cemetery in Cornwall.
Ada L. Halvorsen

Ada L. Halvorsen of Cornwall entered into rest on Monday, March 7. She was 79.
The daughter of the late Harold and Helen Potter Babcock, she was born on September 20, 1936 in Cornwall.
Ada’s hobby and her passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, and she will be deeply missed.
Survivors include sons Wayne and his wife, Evelyn; David and his wife, Victoria; Scott and his partner, Kathryn; Kevin and his wife, Ginette: grandchildren Bryan, Christopher, Amanda, Kyle, Meaghan, Jackson, Wyatt and Molly; and great-grandchildren: Emma and Ava. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Halvorsen.
The family received visitors on Wednesday, March 9 at James F. Lulves Funeral Home, 9 Avenue A in Cornwall-on-Hudson. Funeral Services were due to be held on Thursday, March 10 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment was due to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in New Windsor.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ada’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 384 Crystal Run Rd., Middletown, NY 10941.
Marion E. Lee
Juy 30, 1918-March 5, 2016
Marion E. Lee, a former long time resident of Cornwall, entered into eternal rest on March 5 at Wingate at Beacon. She was 97 years old.
The daughter of the late Arch Dunlap and Fannie Cutler Dunlap, Marion was born on July 30, 1918 in Newburgh. She was a dealer for Stanley Home Products, Inc. in the Cornwall area.
Marion was a former member of the Cornwall Homemakers, the Ladies Auxiliary of Highland Engine Company #1 and a long time member of the Cornwall United Methodist Church.
Marion is survived by her sons; William A. Lee and his wife Cheryl of Cornwall and Robert A. Lee and his wife Jeannine of Valdosta, Ga; by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; her sister, Anna MacMorran and her husband Will of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Visitation was due to be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-on-Hudson. Cremation was scheduled for Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY. Interment of cremains will take place privately at a later date.
