Mayor Brendan Coyne said the visit will include a discussion at Village Hall followed by a visit to the site of a recent accident. Back in November, Lisa Castanon was seriously injured when a train crashed into her vehicle, which was stuck on the tracks. Ms. Castanon was charged with DWI.
Last week Sen. Chuck Schumer held a press conference in Cornwall-on-Hudson to call attention to the need for additional safety measures. A member of the senator’s staff will be at the Feb. 1 meeting along with representatives of the DOT (Department of Transportation) and the FRA (Federal Railway Authority).
