Doris A. Bowens

September 12, 1930-December 21, 2015

Doris A Bowens 85, of Cornwall, left our world on Monday, Dec. 21 at Wingate Nursing Facility in Beacon.   She was born in New York City on Sept. 12, 1930, the third daughter of the late Henry C Bowens and Willie Mae Bowens.  Doris was a retired supervisor of the New York State Motor Vehicles Bureau.  In her retirement Doris loved antiquing, collection and volunteering her services to her community.

Doris is survived by three siblings — Alice Simmons, of New Windsor, Dr. William C Bowens, North Carolina and Barbara J Smith, Newburgh.  Doris was blessed with two children Emanuel B Jennings and Malaika AlAmin; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and an abundance of nieces and nephews.  She will be missed by all of us.
