Glenn W. Clouser

June 13, 1928-November 21, 2015

Glenn W. Clouser, of Cornwall entered into eternal rest on Nov. 21 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. He was 87 years old.

The son of the late Charles W. Clouser and Hilda Conklin Clouser, Glenn was born on June 13, 1928 in Cornwall.

He was the Owner and President of Glenn Clouser Construction in Cornwall.

Glenn honorably and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy, during World War II.  He was the Past President of Cornwall Little League, Baseball as well as a coach and a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Troop Leader.

He was a hard-working, honest and kind man who built many beautiful homes. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who have known him.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Dorothy Mae Austin Clouser at home; his children: James Clouser and wife Rosemarie of Cornwall, Kim Sessock and husband Robert of Middletown NY, and Charles Clouser and wife Diane of Cornwall N.Y.; grandchildren: Melissa Deavor and husband Leon, Amanda Lyons and husband Thomas, Nicole Clouser and Jessica Clouser; great grandchildren: Gabrielle, Justin, Morgan, Kelsey, Brianna, E.J., and Mason; as well as his nieces and nephews.  Glenn was predeceased by his brother Jack Clouser, and sisters Audrey O’Shea and Alice Ilich.

There will be no visitation.  Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope, N.Y.  Interment of cremains with full military honors will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mountainville at the convenience of the family.

Hilda M. Pascale

November 27, 1927-November 27, 2015

On Nov. 27, Hilda M. Pascale of Cornwall entered into rest peacefully at home with family beside her.

The daughter of the late Walter J. Maulen and Doris I. Smith, she was born on Nov. 27, 1927 in Philadelphia, N.Y.

Hilda was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be deeply missed.  Hilda was a talented hobbyist who favored ceramics, painting, knitting, and sewing.  She was also a fabulous cook.

Hilda is survived by her children: Brenda Stroppel and her husband, Max H. of Cornwall; Joseph Anselmo, Jr. of Saint Johnsville, N.Y.; Ronald Anselmo and his wife Diana of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; her siblings: Bonnie Woytowich and her husband Peter of Wellfleet, Mass.; Rita Madden of Groton, Conn.; Edward Maulen, Sr. of Dover Plains, N.Y. and Susan DiPerro and her husband Frank of Carmel, N.Y.; ten grandchildren: Nichole Bernicker; Kristin Stroppel-Leska; Danielle Oakes; Joseph Anselmo; David Anselmo; Ronald Anselmo, Jr.; Josh Anselmo; Caressa Anselmo; Jordan Anselmo and Matthew Anselmo; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Hilda was predeceased by husbands Joseph Anselmo, Sr. and Salvatore Pascale.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.

Herbert A. Trubenbach

April 28, 1954-November 27, 2015

Herbert A. Trubenbach, “Herbie” of the Town of Newburgh, NY, entered into eternal rest on Nov. 27 at The Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh. He was 61.

The son of the late Harry E. Trubenbach. and Amelia Ropke Trubenbach Smith, Herbert was born on April 28, 1954 in Middletown.

He was a retired auto body and paint salesperson and courier, an active member of the Cornwall United Methodist Church and a Patient Mentor at Helen Hayes Hospital. Herb was a devoted husband and father and a lifelong resident of the Town of Newburgh. Herb was loved by all who were touched by his witty sense of humor, smile and generous kind spirit. Herbie was a helper to all and an encourager who always put the needs of others above his own. Herbie’s love of God and his faith were strong. He was always courageous and supportive as well as resourceful.

In lieu of flowers designated memorial donations are;  Cornwall United Methodist Church, Grace United Methodist Church, Cape Coral, FL, Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, Newburgh NY, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center , NYC.

Herbert is survived by his wife, Lynn N. Cunningham of Cornwall; daughter, Kaitlyn A. Maldonado and her husband, Vincent; a brother, Edward H. Trubenbach and a sister, Ruth A. Stenglein; nieces, Nancy Stenglein and Denise Trubenbach and Nephews, Edward Stenglein and his wife Kim, and Edward Trubenbach, as well as several great nieces and great nephews.

There will be no visitation. Cremation to take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope, NY. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19 at the Cornwall United Methodist Church, 198 Main St., Cornwall. Rev. Julia Winward will officiate. Interment of cremains will be in Wallkill Valley Cemetery in Walden at a later date.

Charlotte A. Zayas

December 4, 1926-November 24, 2015

Charlotte A. Zayas, of Cornwall entered into eternal rest on Nov. 24 at Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center in Campbell Hall, N.Y. She was 88 years old.

The daughter of the late William Dearnley and Hilda McAllister Dearnley, Charlotte was born on Dec. 4, 1926 in Newburgh. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Alexander C. Zayas, and by her son Christian Zayas.

Charlotte was the Owner/Operator of “The Jennifer Shop” in Cornwall and was very happy to meet, talk and do business with all who came in. She was a member of the Moulton Baptist Church, on Newburgh for her entire life. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

Charlotte loved and enjoyed her grandchildren Gary, Jennifer, Laurie and Alison and great grandchildren Christian and Avery as well as several step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at Moulton Memorial Baptist Church, 54 Old Little Brittan Road on Monday Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. and will be followed by a reception.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Charlotte’s name to New Windsor Country Inn at 458 Temple Hill Road New Windsor, NY 12553 to help continue the great caring work they do for the individuals and their families.

There will be no visitation.  Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Mount Hope, NY.  Charlotte and her beloved husband, Alexander, will be laid to rest together at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
