After the traditional Veterans Day observance at the monument opposite Town Hall, veterans walked to the middle school for a photograph at the Flags for Heroes display.
Students had donated 125 flags in honor of friends and family members who had served in the military. On the day before Veterans Day, three volunteers placed the flags in the ground near the middle school marquee.
