The Town Board will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3 in the conference room at Town Hall and vote to go into executive session with counsel to discuss potential litigation and a potential land purchase. The board does not expect to take any action after the session is over.

The Town Board will hold a special meeting in Town Hall at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18 to discuss water service on Old West Point Road. The board will then vote to go into executive session to discuss a personnel matter involving the Sanitation Department.

Scouts say no more mud for mutts

As the summer of the Silver Award continues, two more Girl Scouts completed their project last week. Like their two peers prior, Ashley Garcia and Kayla Bacher’s project also has to do with animals, but rather than assist an animal shelter they decided to upgrade the pavilion at the Cornwall Bark Park.
