Isabelina Gabino

July 9, 1935-June 27, 2015

Isabelina Gabino, of  New Windsor,  entered into eternal rest  to be with her Lord on June 27 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. She was 79 years old.

The daughter of Felix Martinez and Carmen Carles, she  was born on July 9, 1935 in Cayey, Puerto Rico.

“Isabelina was a hard working inspirational mother, grandmother, who will be missed  greatly  by her sons, sister and grandchildren and great-grandchildren,” her family said.

She  is survived by her sons  Felix Gabino and his wife Karen of Arizona,  and  Alberto Gabino and his wife Milagros of   New Windsor; by her sister Mary Montes; her grandchildren Clarissa and Jessica Gabino, Ariela and Karina Gabino; and also by her great-grandchildren Samantha and Gabriela Plummer.

She was predeceased by her brothers Luis and Theodore Martinez and by her sister Teresa Monell.

Her family was due to receive visitors from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 2 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson Street in Cornwall-on-Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial  will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 3 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street in Cornwall-on-Hudson.. Fr. Andrew Kurzyna  will officiate. Burial will follow the Mass in Calvary Cemetery in New Windsor.

A celebration of the life of Harry Houlis (Aug. 5, 1932-April 8, 2015) will be held at 10 a.m. on July 11 at Donahue Memorial Park in Cornwall-on-Hudson.
