Karen Lynn Dawson

Karen Lynn Dawson died at home in Edgewood, Md .on March 17. She was 49.
She was born in Cornwall on April 16, 1965 to Robert and Marjorie (Caven) Dawson. Karen was in the United States Air Force from 1992 to 2008 where she served in Desert Storm and retired as a Master Sergeant. She earned her master’s degree from Mount St. Mary’s College in Newburgh.
Karen was a member of the Military Controllers Association of the U.S.A., the Ladies Auxiliary of Salisbury Mills Fire Company, the American Legion in Adams, N.Y. as well as the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Edgewood, Md., and was Chairman of the Finance Committee in Edgewood as well.
Karen is survived by her mother Marjorie Dawson of Edgewood, Md.; brothers Rudy Keller of Middletown, N.Y. and Billy Keller and his wife Bonnie of Watertown, N.Y.; sister Christine Michetti and her husband Tony of Newburgh; uncle, Bill Caven of Salisbury Mills, as well as good friends George Wontz his wife Carol also of Salisbury Mills, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a great-nephew. She is predeceased by her father, Robert Dawson and one brother Mark Keller.
Her family will receive visitors on Sunday, March 22, from 3 to 6 p.m. at David T. Ferguson, Funeral Home, 20 North Street in Washingtonville.
A Mass at of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 23 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Washingtonville. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Presbyterian Cemetery in Cornwall.
Joan P. Kelly
May 7, 1931-March 15, 2015
Joan P. Kelly , of Cornwall entered into eternal rest on March 15 at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. She was 83 years old.
The daughter of John and Mary Graham MacNamara, she was born in Brooklyn on May 7, 1931. She was retired after working for the Orange County Department of Social Services in Goshen.
Survivors include her son John R. Kelly of Rock Hill, N.Y.; her daughters Joan Kelly of Chester and Patricia Moody of Goshen; her sister Alice Wilson of Staten Island; her grandchild Catherine Moody, as well many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, by her husband Jack Kelly and by her son Paul Kelly.
Her family received visitors at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson on March 18. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday March 19 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson. Burial will be private at a later date in St. Columba Cemetery in Chester.
