William Taylor Deans

February 17, 1949-February 28, 2015

William “ Billy” Deans, of Cornwall entered into eternal rest on Feb. 28. He was 66.
The son of Jane and John Deans, Billy was born on February 17, 1949 in Cornwall.  He was married to Pamela C. Deans.

Billy Deans was a graduate of Cornwall Central High School and studied at Central Connecticut State University.  He was revered for his athleticism.  Billy was an avid sports fan who touched many lives through his work with youth sports.  Billy enjoyed coaching youth football, soccer and baseball.

Billy served as a sales associate with Charles B. Merrill Office Equipment and Supply Inc.  He enjoyed the many people he met throughout his 40 years of employment.

Billy honorably served his country as a member of the U.S. National Guard Reserve.

In addition to his wife Pamela, Billy is survived by his mother Jane (Longinott) Deans of Cornwall; daughter Jennifer Leach and her husband David of Cornwall-on-Hudson; son Kevin J. Deans and his wife Jennifer of Ashburn, Va.; grandsons Daniel Leach, Michael Leach, Kevin John II and several aunts, uncles and cousins. His father John Deans predeceased him. Billy was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.

His family received visitors on March 4 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 5 at the funeral home. Burial was be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Alma A. Orsino

February 15, 1914-February 25, 2015

Alma A. Orsino, of Cornwall-on-Hudson  entered into eternal rest at home on Feb. 25. She was 101 years old, and the widow of the late Jerry J. Orsino.

The daughter of Vincent Diamonti and Santa Santoro, she was born on Feb. 15, 1914 in Medina, N.Y. She was retired after working as a seamstress in Newburgh. Her family said she will be missed greatly.

She is survived by her children: Peter Orsino and his wife Carol of Newburgh, Vincent Orsino and his wife Carla of New Windsor, Gary Orsino of Cornwall-on-Hudson NY, and Gina Farmer and husband Douglas of Jacksonville, Fla.; by her brothers Patrick Diamonti and wife Gloria of New Windsor, and Alfred Diamonti of Florida; by her sister Genevieve McClintock and husband Edward of Rome, NY.; by her grandchildren: Christine (Sal) Carceller, Michele (Sean) Weckeman, Bradley Redfern, Jeffrey Orsino, Renee (Patrick) Purcell, Taryn Moran, Gennara  and Gabriella Farmer; ny her nine great grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews . She was predeceased by her grandson Peter J. Orsino Jr.

Her family received visitors on March 2 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson. Pastor Toby Quirk officiated at a funeral service at the end of visiting hours. Entombment followed in Cedar Hill  Cemetery.
