Jennie Pellegrino
January 15, 1928-December 15, 2014
Jennie Pellegrino age 86 of Marlboro, and formerly of Cornwall-on-Hudson, passed away on Monday, Dec. 15, at Wingate at Dutchess Nursing Home in Beacon.
The daughter of Michael Lupo and Julia Sorrentino, Jennie was born in Brooklyn on Jan. 15, 1928. She married Vincent Pellegrino who predeceased her on Feb. 28, 1996.
Jennie loved to design clothes. After going to Women’s Garment Trade High School in Brooklyn, she became a dress maker for Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and a member of the Home Makers of Cornwall.
Jennie is survived by her daughter Anita Walters and her husband Ralph of Marlboro and her brother Michael Lupo and his wife Marie of Florida and several nieces and nephews
Calling hours were due to be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18 at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro.
A mass of Christian burial will be offered on Friday at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Church, 1209 Route 9W, Marlboro with Father Thomas Dicks officiating.
Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Middle Hope.
