Mary Barown

March 13, 1927-November 23, 2014

Mary Barown, of New Windsor entered into eternal rest on Nov. 23 at home with her daughter Patricia by her side. She was 87 years old.

The daughter of Thomas and Margaret Meagher, she was born on March 13, 1927 in Kilkenny, Ireland. She was a member of many veterans organizations along with her late husband Anthony Barown.

Mary is survived by her brother George Meagher of Edgewater, N.J., her daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Michael Kane of New Windsor, N.Y, daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Thomas Hannon of Myrtle Beach S.C., grandchildren Sean Kane, Heather and Russell Candela, Jason and Jeanne Hatcher, Jamie and Julie Hannon, Roberto and Eury Padilla; her great grandchildren Ethan and Cameron Candela, whom she looked forward to visiting every day, bringing a smile to her face. Along with Ojani, Tais and Anaya Padilla; her nieces and nephews George, Elaine & Lea Meagher.

A private Christian Mass will be held at a later time.

Joseph Fusillo

December 10, 1937- November 25, 2014

Joseph Fusillo of Cornwall-on-Hudson entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh at the age of 77.

Joseph was born in Brooklyn on Dec. 10, 1937, the son of the late Angelo Pasquale and Maria Fusillo.

He is survived by his beloved wife Magda Kaloz Fusillo, son David Fusillo and his wife, Cynthia, daughter Cindy Fusillo Segovia and her husband Gonzalo and granddaughter Valentina, who he cherished dearly. He was predeceased by his brother Daniel and sister Beatrice Lendino. He is survived by sisters Rose Dawes and Sylvia Barnes and his brother Victor.

Joseph earned his bachelor’s degree from Central Bible College in Missouri. He also earned an Architectural Degree and was an estimator for several large firms. In addition, Joe was a successful self employed entrepreneur.

When Joe lived in Brooklyn, he was very involved in teaching the Word of God at Sunday School.  More recently, he was a member of Grace Community Church in Washingtonville, and was an active participant in weekly service.

Joseph was a devoted and loyal husband and a father and loved wholeheartedly. He was passionate about his faith and blessed everyone around him with encouragement in the Lord. He was a man gifted with patience and was an inspiring example of Christian living.

He faithfully served his family as a devoted spouse, father, grandfather, son, brother, nephew, uncle, colleague and friend. Joe was full of humor and love. His quick wit, unending selflessness, kind, gentle nature and warm smile will be sorely missed.

His family received visitors  on Nov. 30 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home on Cornwall-on-Hudson. A service was held directly after visitation at the funeral home.

Leonard Kivi

November 30, 2014

Leonard Kivi, 90, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, entered into rest on Sunday, Nov. 30.
Leonard was a kind and loving father, and an avid sailor.

He is survived by his son Douglas of Cornwall-on-Hudson , and his brother, Endel Kivi of Port St. Lucie, Fla.  He was predeceased by his wife Margaret.

There will be no visitation. Interment will be in Cornwall Baptist Cemetery.       Arrangements are under the direction of James F. Lulves Funeral Home.
