Brian Charles Flint

May 8, 1967-October 22, 2014

Brian Charles Flint, a life-long resident of Cornwall, NY died unexpectedly in his sleep on Oct. 22. He was 47.

The beloved son of Charles and Margaret (Viglione) Flint, he was born on May 8, 1967 in Cornwall.

Brian was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a skilled carpenter who took pride in his craft and in seeing a job well done. “BF” was known for his warm heart, quiet and laid back disposition, and his avid love of sports. He liked watching his son play football, coaching little league, and cheering for his favorite teams. He enjoyed golfing with friends and hiking with his kids. A devoted father, Brian put his family first and was always considerate of others. He was extremely proud of his children and enjoyed watching them prosper. Brian will be remembered for his kind nature and willingness to help others in need. He was loved and adored by his family and friends and will be deeply missed.

His father, Charles Flint, predeceased him. Brian is survived by his mother, Margaret Flint; his daughter, Corey Flint; his son, Kyle Flint; sisters, Patricia Wallace and Cynthia Flint; niece, Jacquie Wallace; nephew, Timothy Wallace; great niece, Eliana Wallace; aunts and uncles: Jean Flint, Marion Viglione of Gloversville, NY, John (Marcia) Viglione and Tom (Beverly) Viglione, as well as many cousins.

Friends and family gathered  at Annarella’s at the Storm King Golf Club on Monday Oct. 27 for a service and a time of remembrance.

Bridget Higgins

January 4, 1937-October 24, 2014

Bridget Higgins, of Plum Point, New Windsor formerly of Chestnut Ridge,   entered into eternal rest on Oct. 24 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 77.

The daughter of Thomas and Bridget Kieran, Bridget was born on Jan. 4, 1937 in Crossmaglen, Northern. Ireland.

Bridget earned her B.A. in Psychology from Mercy College. Bridget was the Payroll Administrator for the National Association of Accountants in Montvale, N.J..  Upon retirement she moved to New Windsor and worked for many years at the Cornwall Public Library.

She was an active member of the New Windsor Senior Center and St. Joseph’s Church in New Windsor. Bridget was an exemplary mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She was best known for her dedication and love of her family.  She was an avid reader and she always looked forward to her annual trip back home to Ireland to visit her many family members and friends.  Family meant everything to Bridget and she will be sorely missed.

Bridget is survived by her son James and his wife Diane Higgins of Cornwall-on-Hudson, daughter Laura Bukowski and husband Bill of Chester, son Daniel and his wife Camie Higgins of Odessa, Fla., Son Gary and his wife Gina Higgins of Waldwick, N.J.  She was a loving grandmother to Amanda, Billy, Neil, Jay, Elise, D.J., Dylan, Ellie and Kieran and will be greatly missed.

Her family received visitors on Oct. 28 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Homein Cornwall-on-Hudson.  A Mass was held on Oct. 29 at St. Joseph’s Church, in New Windsor and was followed by burial in  St. Francis Cemetery, New Windsor.
