“It was the best news we could have heard,” Supervisor Randy Clark said after a meeting on the lawn of the Sands Ring Homestead. The Friends of Sands Ring have become a 501(C)(3) organization, and will be able to receive tax-deductible donations. The process took a year and a half.
The Friends web site will soon include a PayPal option so people can make contributions on line. Butterhill Day School will turn over the money (about $3,000) it made at its festival. And other fund-raising events (which had been put on hold) will now be scheduled.
