Mike White became the 52nd winner of the annual Butch Kent Memorial Award, the highest honor given to a graduating Cornwall athlete.
Mike quarterbacked the Dragon football team to three straight regional championships. He also played varsity basketball, but his career was shortened by an injury.
John Carnright, a close friend of the late Jimmy Kent, made the presentation at the class picnic on June 23, along with assistant football coach Eric Holzapple. This year’s recipient will be playing college football at Marist.
