Patricia Cahill
November 14, 1925-May 20, 2014
Patricia Cahill of Cornwall-on-Hudson entered into eternal rest on May 20 at Newburgh, NY. She was 88 years old. Her husband, John K. Cahill had passed away in 2003.
The daughter of Edward C. Schoeler and Hildegarde (Mohr), Patricia was born on November 14, 1925 in Queens Village, N.Y.
Pat was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School, in Queens. She was an administrator/office manager for Buitoni, Bank of Nova Scotia in New York, sold real estate for Ashcroft & Associates of Cornwall and retired from the Office of Inspector General of West Point. She was a 40 year resident of Cornwall-on-Hudson.
As an active member of St. Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Church, she participated in prayer and choral groups. Pat was intelligent, capable and accomplished at anything to which she put her hand. She will be greatly missed by family, friends and her Wednesday coffee group.
Pat is survived by both her daughter, Patricia and son-in-law, James Paugh of Worcester, Mass. and her son Joseph Cahill and daughter-in-law, Denise DeLong-Cahill of Shrewsbury, Mass. She leaves five grandchildren, James Paugh of Bermuda, Katherine Mary Cahill of Albany, N.Y., Briana-Ann, and Cheyenne DeLong of Shrewsbury, Mass. and Chaz Coddington of Kingston, N.Y.
In addition, her surviving siblings are Joan Pollack, Melville, N.Y, Geraldine Henchy of San Marcos, Calif. and Edward “Duffy” Schoeler of Clinton, Whidbey Island, Wash. Her sister Jane Gallehr and brother George predeceased her.
Her family received visitors on Thursday, May 22 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on May 23 at the St. Thomas of Canterbury Church with Fr. Bernard Heter officiating. Anne Chicola
July 26, 1930-May 26, 2014
Anne Chicola, of Cornwall, went home to be with the Lord on May 26. She was 83 years old.
The daughter of Giovanni and Adeline Giangola, Anne was born on July 26, 1930 in Brooklyn, N.Y.
She was a member of Cornwall Baptist Church and Freedom Road Bible Church. A past member of the Silverado Steppers she loved to dance as well as get together with friends at the Cornwall Senior Citizens and Marasco Center. People in Cornwall will always remember Anne, with a big smile on her face,walking her little white dog around town.
In the past few years Anne enjoyed her time in West Palm Beach, Fla. where she was active in her community and church.
Anne is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Leonard J. Chicola as well as her children, Kathleen Callahan and her husband Walter of Cornwall, Elaine Aponte and her husband Manny of Walden, and Rev.Timothy Chicola and his wife Marianne of Roseland, N.J. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Michael, David, Melissa, Elizabeth and her husband Scott, Daniel, JonPaul, Joseph, Kaitlin and her husband Scott, Emily and Caroline, and her great grandchildren Vincent and Anna. Anne was also predeceased by a grandson Christopher.
The family will receive visitors from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday May 30 and from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday May 31 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson Street in Cornwall-On-Hudson. A celebration of Anne’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday May 31 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cornwall Baptist Cemetery.

Margaret C. Igo
Margaret C. (Cullen) Igo, affectionately known as Peggy, died on May 21 at UMass Memorial Healthcare. She was 77.
She was a graduate of Northbridge High School and Emmanuel College in Boston. She later received her master’s degree in education from Worcester State University.
She held teaching positions in Massachusetts, the Far East and in New York State. She concluded her career after 24 years at St. Thomas of Canterbury School in Cornwall-on-Hudson, where she established an annual patriotic assembly that still survives in the memory of many of her students.
In 1964, Peg married her husband John. Together they lived in Japan, the Phillipines, California, New York, Vermont and Massachusetts. Peg’s true joy in life was interacting with her husband, her childrem, her friends, relatives and students. Her family was proud of her determination to fight lymphoma.
Peg is survived by her husband of 50 years, John F. Igo, her son Michael Igo, and her daughter Ellen Igo; her brother Tom and his wife Miriam; her sister-in-law Sonia, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Jim and her sister-in-law Maureen.
Her family received friends on May 26 at the Jackman Funeral Home in Whitinsville, Mass. A funeral was held at St, Patrick’s Church in Whitinsville on May 27 and was followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Patricia A. Thibodeau
July 9, 1934-May 21, 2014
Patricia A. Thibodeau of Cornwall-on-Hudson entered into rest on Wednesday, May 21. She was 79.
The daughter of the late William and Freida Becker Kane, she was born on July 9, 1934 in West Point.
Patricia’s favorite times were those spent with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, and she will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her beloved husband Douglas, at home; daughters Lorri Dobias and husband Ted, and Alisa Dabroski and husband Fred, Sr.; grandchildren: Kara Figurski, Bryan Figurski and wife Maria, Fred W. Dabroski, Jr. and wife Kate, Christopher Dabroski; great-grandchildren: Jack Dabroski and Bryan Figurski, Jr.; and sister-in-law Linda Kane. She was predeceased by her brother William Kane and her stepfather Walter Cuddy.
The family received visitors on May 27 at James F. Lulves Funeral Home, 9 Avenue A, Cornwall-on-Hudson. A Funeral Service was held at the funeral home at the end of visiting hours, and was followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Roxanna M. Wescott
March 11, 1916-May 15, 2014
Roxanna M. Wescott, of Cornwall-on-Hudson entered into eternal rest on May 15 at Montgomery Nursing Home in Montgomery, N.Y. She was 98 years old.
The daughter of Henry La Rose and Celia Mosher La Rose, Roxanna was born on Mar. 11, 1916 in Smith Basin, N.Y. She was a foster mother for over 55 children in Hudson Falls, N.Y.
She was an active member of the Cornwall United Methodist Church in Cornwall, the Baptist Church of Hudson Falls N.Y, Pythian Sisters of Glens Falls, N.Y, United Job Core, and the Golden Age Club of Cornwall. She was a volunteer with the Munger Cottage Nutrition Center in Cornwall.
Roxanna M. Wescott is survived by her son Arthur Westcott of Virginia Beach VA, daughters Margaret DeMarco of New Windsor, Patricia Brayton of Queensbury, N.Y, Susan Kauffman of Pitsfield, Mass. and Nancy Wescott of Phoenix, N.Y. She is also survived by many grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Herman O. Wescott in 1959 and by her son Philip Wescott .
The family received visitors at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson. A funeral service was held on May 18 at the funeral home. Burial took place the following day at Pineview Cemetery in Queensbury.
