You wouldn’t expect to see a boat on the lawn by Rings Pond; so motorists were surprised to see one jammed up against a tree last night. Even a towing company employee admitted it was a new experience for him. Tyler McMillen, age 27, was towing the boat on Hudson Street when the trailer disconnected. It rolled back and hit a sign. The boat came loose, but instead of skidding downhill it collided with a tree.
The driver was ticketed for having an unregistered trailer and a suspended license. The accident occurred at 5:30 p.m.
