Kay-Anne Rose
Jan. 8, 1936-Aug. 2, 2013
Kay-Anne Rose, age 77, of Cornwall, passed away, at home, after a long battle with congestive heart failure.
The daughter of Bernard Gallagher and Alma Ross Gallagher, Rose was born in Cornwall and grew up and attended school in Highland Falls.
She was a parishioner of St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, Cornwall-on-Hudson, where she was also a Eucharistic minister. She enjoyed bible studies, crafts and above all shopping for a bargain.
Rose is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years David P. “Pete” Rose, Sr. She is survived by her six children and their spouses: David and Maureen Rose, Leslie and Jeffery Johnson, Valerie and Charles Weygant, Regina and Kevin Hines, Renee and Dennis Pacella, and Todd and Jeanne Rose. Left to miss their “meema” are her 16 grandchildren: Zachary, Kiersten, and Nicholas Rose, Katie, Megan, and Julia Johnson, D.J. and Danielle Pacella, Colin, Justin, Stephanie and Ryan Hines, Dawn Weygant, and Brendan, Christopher and Kyle Rose. She is also survived by her siblings Alma (Micky) Mahan, Joseph (Mary) Gallagher, and Helen Bosch.
We would like to remember our mother as the person who taught us how to live our faith and to love each other. She was witty and was quick to make people around her laugh. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She is now at peace with the Lord.
