Mark Anthony Calyer

Mark Anthony Calyer of Forestburgh, N.Y. entered into rest on Friday, May 10. He was 69.
The son of the late Morris F. and Sadie Clark Calyer, he was born on December 7, 1943 in Cornwall.
Survivors include his brothers: Vincent J. Calyer and wife Irene of Cornwall, and M. Clarke Calyer of Cornwall; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, May 15 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church. Interment followed in St. Thomas Cemetery. Donations in Mark’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Maj. James C. Cole
June 10, 1936-May 8, 2013
Major James C. Cole, a former resident of Cornwall, died at Valley View Nursing Care in Goshen on May 8. He was 76.
The son of James E. Cole II and Marjory Case, he was born in Montague, N.J. on June 10, 1936. He was a banker with the Fishkill National Bank until he retired.
He was a member of the Newburgh and Cornwall Jaycees, Adonai Lodge #718 of the Free and Accepted Masons,; he coached the Cornwall Swim Team and Little League, and served as an umpire.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Hartshorn Cole at home; his son James C. Cole Jr. and his wife Pamela of Bloomingburg; his daughter Christiane C. Pryne and her husband Mark of Cornwall; his sister-in-law Linda Hamel and her husband Peter; his grandchildren James L. and Kyle A. Cole, Jessica L. and Jenna M. Pryne; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held at the end of visiting hours at the Quigley Brothers Funeral Home, and was followed by cremation.
