Richard E. Reeves (“Bubba”)

July 30, 1963-August 14, 2017

Cornwall

Richard E. Reeves of Cornwall-on-Hudson passed a-way peacefully on Aug. 14 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh  with his daughter Rachel by his side and holding his hand. He was 54 years old. The son of Robert Reeves and Beverly Willard, he was born on July 30, 1963.

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, Richard was a talented chef and had worked in many different locations over the years.  His proudest achievement was fulfilling his dream of opening his own restaurant, Bubbas Bagel Shoppe in Cornwall.  Those who were lucky enough to be greeted by his friendly smile or “How ya doin,?” will surely miss the heartfelt energy behind it.

He was predeceased by his father Robert Reeves and brother Robert Reeves.  He is survived by his mother Beverly, in Rochester, N.Y. and sister, Sandra Hilts in Mission, Texas.  He is also survived by his eldest daughter from a former union, Christine Andrews and two grandchildren, Tyler and Hunter.  Richard also leaves behind his son Robert Reeves; daughter Rachel Reeves and former wife Maria Reeves of Cornwall-on-Hudson.

A private service for his family and their loved ones will be held at a later date.
