Accident quells Quaker traffic

Emergency personnel responded to an accident shortly after 3 p.m. on Quaker Avenue near the 9W ramp. Cornwall Fire Department volunteers disabled the vehicles while EMTs from Cornwall Volunteer Ambulance Corps and New Windsor Ambulance Corps tended to two females. Each agency transported a patient to the hospital. Both were conscious, but the extent of their injuries is unknown, as is the cause of the accident. Cornwall Police Department directed traffic away from Quaker Avenue and onto Route 9W.
