Wayne Edmund Judson

December 14, 1944-February 15, 2013

Wayne Edmund Judson of Malone, N.Y. passed away on Feb. 15 at the Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt. He was 68.
The son of Myrtle V. (Cooke) and Edward Lewis Judson, Jr., he was born in Cornwall on Dec. 14, 1944. Mr. Judson graduated from Cornwall Central High School, and continued his education until serving his country. He was a decorated officer in the United States Army, serving two tours in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged in 1972.

Mr. Judson worked in Culinary at the Sagamore Hotel in Bolton Landing until ill health forced his retirement. After retiring to Malone, he was a member of the Malone VFW, the Malone Auto Club, and the Malone Golden Age Club. He enjoyed cooking, garage sales, playing bridge, collecting and restoring cars, and making people laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Vice-Judson of Malone; a stepson, Christopher John Risk of Swan Lake; a sister, Lois Ann Beckwith of Colorado; two grandchildren: Christopher Evans of Malone, and Petra Novak of Harriman, ; and cousins, nieces and nephews in the vicinity of Newburgh and Cornwall. He is also survived by one daughter and two sons from a previous marriage. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Jean W. (Judson) Needham.

Funeral services were private. Interment will be in the National Veteran’s Cemetery in Saratoga.

Graham E. Kelder, Sr.

August 15, 1927-February 19, 2013

Graham E. Kelder, Sr. of Cornwall entered into rest on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Westchester Medical Center.  He was 85.

The son of the late Graham R. and Louise Strey Kelder, he was born on Aug. 15, 1927 in Burnside, NY.

Graham served in the  U.S. Navy during World War II.  He was a member of the Cornwall Lions Club, the Cornwall Republican Club and  American Legion Post 353.  He was retired from Central Hudson. He was the Recording Secretary for Local 320 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a member of the ROMEO Club (Retired Old Men Eating Out).

Graham was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and he will be deeply missed.

Survivors include; his loving wife, Mary, at home; daughters: Margaret L. Kelder and spouse Melissa Devine of Cambridge, N.Y., and Anne M. Barriel and husband William of New Paltz; son Graham Kelder, Jr. of Cambridge, Mass.; grandchildren: Daniel G., Joshua A., Nathanael J. and Rachel Barriel of New Paltz; nieces:  Patricia Ramer and husband Robert, Shari Dade-Ramer and husband Russell, Carol Robarge, and Cheryl Edwards Herman and husband Paul; nephews:  David Ramer and wife Roxana, Carl Kelder, and August Kelder, Jr. and their families.  He was predeceased by  his loving sister and guardian, Pearl Zwart and husband Richard, and siblings: Hannah, Effie, Doris, Lorena, and August.

The family received visitors on Sunday, Feb. 24 at James F. Lulves Funeral Home, 9 Avenue A, Cornwall-on-Hudson.  Funeral Services were held on Monday, Feb. 25 at the funeral home, and were followed by interment St. Thomas Cemetery.

Ronald Gary Keyser

Tuesday, February 19 

Ronald Gary Keyser, age 83, a native of Cornwall,, and a resident of Fairhope, Ala.., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at his residence.

He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and the order of Kappa Alpha Faternity.  An avid golfer, he was a member of Storm King Golf Club for over 25 years.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Keyser of Fairhope; one daughter, Diane Granlund of San Ramon, Calif.; two sons, Stephen (Becky) Keyser of Fresno, Calif. and Robert (Cathy) Keyser,  of Fairhope; one brother, Harry Keyser, Jr. of Warwick, R.I., sixteen grandchildren; James Keyser, Michelle Keyser Haynam, David R. Keyser, Kevin Keyser, Wendy Hinkle,  David M. Keyser, Jennifer Hanger, Thomas Keyser, Kristyn Claypool,  Daniel Keyser, Brian Keyser, Michael Keyser, Amy Keyser, John Granlund, Kristin Granlund, Erica Granlund,  and twelve great-grandchildren.

Mr. Keyser is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Eleanor Keyser and a son, David Keyser.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Feb. 23 at St. James Episcopal Church. The family received friends on Friday, Feb. 22 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
