The first day of winter was Thursday and already a couple of minor storms have left some accumulation. Meteorologists are predicting a chance of sleet and snow Christmas Eve into Christmas morning. Once the storm passes, it’s possible one to three inches of fresh powder will be covering the ground. By this time last year, the region had already experienced one snow and two ice storms.
