BLOOD DRIVE
The Storm King School invites the community to the school’s third annual blood drive on Monday, Jan. 19 from 2 to 6 p.m. The drive will be held in the gymnasium. Donors can sign up on line at www.nybloodcenter.org or they can register by contacting Al Lewis, the Dean of Students, at 534-7516.

FOOD DRIVES
Cub Scout Pack 20 has been busy with food drives this year. The boys solicited donations for BFF (Backpacks for Food) during the fall. And then they asked the students at Lee Road School to bring in contributions for the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley.

The outreach was successful. During winter break, the boys delivered 532 pounds of food to the Food Bank. When school reopened, Principal Megan Argenio mentioned the accomplishment during the daily announcements.

Pack members are Max Alter, Julian Ayuso, Shane Bywater, Michael Cerovene, Andrew Dobuzinsky, Paul Doty, Joey Heffner, Andrew Keller, Aiden Kinkead, Evan Langer, Jack Marion, Sean McGrail, Cash McLendon, Kieran Meyer, Ashton Poidomani, Lucas Poidomani, Christopher Puglisi, Anthony Rizzardi, Jack Schwickrath, Dominic Tucci, Trevor Van Der Heide, Teague Watson.

GIRL SCOUT CABIN
The cabin will be off limits for about a month and a half until a water line is replaced. During that time, the girls will meet in Munger Cottage or the COVAC building.

A leak, which could have eroded the foundation, was located this month.

Willow Avenue students have until Jan. 22 to submit a cover design for the program for the school show. The winning entry will appear on the cover. The other designs will be displayed in the building on the days of the performance. The school will be presenting, “The Little Mermaid.”
