Patricia A. Prydal

November 19, 1950-August 22, 2014

Patricia A. Prydal, of New Windsor  entered into eternal rest on Aug. 22 at home. She was 63 years old.

The daughter of George and Marie Carr Bell, she was born on Nov. 19, 1950 in Manhattan, N.Y .

Her family said that she will be missed greatly by her family and many friends .

Patricia A. Prydal  is survived by her husband Richard at home , her children Richard S. Prydal and Caroline  Prydal, her brothers George Bell of Florida and Raymond Bell of Binghamton, N.Y.; her sisters Carolyn Copeland of California and Arlene Villabol of Ellenville, N.Y.,  and also a number of nieces and nephews.

Her family received visitors on Aug. 23 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, Aug. 25 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson. The Mass was followed by cremation.

Thomas R. Trainor

November 28, 1922-August 21, 2014

Thomas Richard Trainor, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, entered into eternal rest on Aug. 21 at his home in Cornwall-on-Hudson.  He was 91.

The son of William A. and Mary F. Trainor, Tom was born on Nov. 28, 1922 in Cornwall-on-Hudson .

He studied drafting, blue prints and woodworking at a vocational institute on Lake Ontario. He was Deputy of Student Affairs at the United States Military Academy at West Point until his retirement.  At which time, he opened Butterhill Antiques of Cornwall-on-Hudson, and remained there until 2010.

Tom honorably served his country as member of the Construction Battalion in the United States Navy. He was a Trustee for the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson in the 1970s.

Tom had strong convictions but remained humble. He had a great capacity for love and was a faithful and devoted friend to many.  His companionship, dry humor and wit will be greatly missed. He was a friend of Bill W.

Tom is survived by his brother Joseph Trainor of Cornwall-on-Hudson, and by four nephews:  William and Christopher  Trainor of Rock Tavern, N.Y, William and Michael Trainor of Cornwall-on-Hudson; by grand nephews Christopher, Jr. and Thomas  Trainor of Cornwall-on-Hudson, and by one grand niece  Jaclyn M. Trainor.  Tom is also survived by his adopted son Herman Leonhardes .

Tom was predeceased by his wife Evelyn L. Trainor, brother William Trainor and his wife Elsie Lorraine  Trainor; twin sister Catherine M. Trainor, nephew Joseph K. Trainor and Roseannne E. Trainor .

The family received visitors on Aug. 24 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home in Cornwall-on-Hudson.  A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, Aug. 25 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson. The Mass was followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery in Cornwall.
